Rainforest!

This past unit we took our learning adventures to the sights and sounds of the rainforest! We love exploring the world around us and different ecosystems!

We started our unit learning about different animals! The first (and most popular) was the monkey! We incorporated gross motor development into our circle times pretending to swing from tree to tree just like our primate friends.

Meet Jerry the Giraffe! during circle we learned about a sad giraffe who lost all his spots. All of the mitzvah boys and girls in our class couldn't wait to help find them and make Jerry so happy!

Sensory time walking on the floor of the rainforest!

Fun with phonics and math! making Sammy the snake allowed us to work on our phonics and letter sounds with S, and we practiced counting how many 'scales' our snakes had! promoting mathematical thinking and basic math concepts really came through with this fine motor art activity!

We love music time!

Reggio inspired painting with leaves from the rainforest!

We are so excited for sports with coach Zev!

Literacy fun matching the letters in our name!

 Painting rainsticks!

We had the chance for some science exploration in this unit, seeing how much rice we could use to fill our rain sticks and how different amounts make different sounds!
