Canada is our home and we are blessed to live here. We do know that our real home is in Eretz Yisrael, and one day, we will be there all together. We have been learning so much about Israel, the different cities, the food and the culture. We took a trip to Israel on our very own airplane, EL AL and we had such an exciting time!
Make sure your seatbelts are on! We are going on a long trip! |
We painted airplanes using watercolour paints and then hung them in the sky. |
Since we traveled to Israel, we decided to make a large poster of Israel. We painted it and we hung up pictures of Israel around it. We looked for Yerushalyim on the map as we have been learning so much in the last few weeks.
We practiced writing Israel and using letters to create the word. We used loose parts to make the flag of Israel.
On the first day, we traveled to Yerushalayim! We made our very own kotel, we visited the kotel, we ate yummy falafel in the shuk and we sang about building the Beit Hamikdash!
Using blocks to Build the kotel. |
Davening at the Kotel for health and happiness for everyone! |
Next stop: TEL AVIV
We coloured in beach pictures, we discussed what we see at the beach, we even pretended to jump over the waves and we loved the yummy Ice cream we ate!
Next Stop: THE DEAD SEA
We discussed the Dead Sea and how it is made with lots of salt. We did an experiment with salt and saw that the salt disolved into the water but at the dead sea it does not dissolve. We floated on the dead sea and pretended to put mud all over our bodies.
Next Stop; TZFAT
The children had so much fun in Tzfat. They made Hamsas with the letter "Bet'" for Bereshit, they painted at an easel, they climbed the beautiful mountains and learned that many special people used to live in Tzfat.
Then on our trip to Israel, we had a special birthday! Mazel tov to Ora on her 3rd birthday and thanks for the delicious treat!
Since Hebrew is the Language which people use in Israel, we learned a few new Hebrew words. We also played with Hebrew and English letters.
On Israel Day, we traveled to Israel with the other class. We are definitely first class flyers! We got on the plane and there was a little bit of turbulence. We really got there fast and it was so exciting to use our passports and have a diplomat of Israel, Morah Carly, welcome us to Israel!
Welcome to ISRAEL!! |
First we squeezed Oranges in Jaffa!
Then we had a dance party on the Beach in Tel Aviv.
We went Scuba diving for fish in Eilat.
We then went to Kotel in Jerusalem and wrote letters to Hashem for our family to be healthy!
and finally, we made some gorgeous Hamsas in Tzfat!
and of course, Shabbat in Israel is an incredible experience!
Shabbat Shalom!
