Nursery Sukkot and Simchat Torah

                               Hello Nursery Families

It has been a very busy 2 weeks full of activities.
  • We learned a lot about the Sukkot and Simchat Torah Holidays and the children had the chance to decorate, play and eat in a Shukkot.

  • These are the songs we learned  for this holiday with Morah Raquel.

We practiced shaking the lulav in our classroom and singing our favourite Sukkot and Simchat Torah songs.

1. Shake the lulav
    Shake, shake, shake,
    Shake, shake, shake,
    Shake the lulav,
    Shake, shake, shake
    Shake, shake, shake,
    On Sukkot.

2. Did you ever shake a lulav,
    A lulav, a lulav,
Did you ever shake a lulav,
    On Sukkot day.
    Shake upwards and downwards
    And forwards and backwards,
Did you ever shake a lulav,
    On Sukkot day.

3. Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe

4. Little Torah, little Torah,
    Let me hold you tight,
    Teach me, teach me
    All the mitzvot
So I may do things right,
    Torah teaches every Jew,
    Torah, Torah we love you.

  • We also visited the Shul and danced holding our colourful flags

  • We decided to make our classroom greener so we made lentil plants. We planted them using a foam cup, cotton balls and water.

  • Sensory play: we made our own "cloud" playdough using floor, corn starch and water. The children really enjoyed making all kinds of shapes with it.

  • All the children enjoyed doing yoga this week with Morah Rachel

Hope you enjoy all the photos of the children learning and having so much fun at school.
