In this unit we spoke all about our feelings and how to express our feelings and how to recognize someone else's feelings. We listened to songs about feeling, we read books about feeling and we also acted out our feelings. The children were able to apply this at school. When someone was sad they would comfort them and when someone was happy they would be happy with them!!

We also started introducing the letters to the children. They we all very proud to find the letters of their names. By using magnate letters and playdough the childen got to spell their names. They simply recognize their name that is located on the magnet wall and they spell their name or sound it out. Morah Raquel has also started to introduce to the children the Hebrew letters, they learn one letter a week! So far we have learned Alef for Adom- red, Bet for Bayit - house and Gimmel for Glidah- ice cream. We are creating an Alef Bet book which we will add to each time we learn a new letter.

We planted lentils and learned to really care about our plants by watering them and putting them by the window so they can catch some sun. Simply by putting some cotton balls in a plastic cup and then putting the lentils in and add some water!!

We made colored pasta by using food coloring and vinegar. The children really enjoyed shaking the zip lock bags and watching how the color transformed the pasta in to green, blue and red. We use this pasta in our sensory bin. We also use it to make shapes on playdough.

We also had yoga with Morah Machel and music with Morah Breina which the children really enjoy and look forward to every week.

Last but not least we had Doughnuts with Dads and Zaidies in this Unit. The children really enjoyed having their special someone in the classroom.
