It has been a very busy and very fun few weeks in Pre Nursery 2. We were very busy making beautiful 'Bruchim HaBaim' signs for our Sukkahs. The children were so excited to take their signs home and hang them in their Sukkahs.
We also painted and decorated our own Sukkah for our classroom. The children had so much fun taking turns sitting in the Sukkah.
We practiced shaking the lulav in our classroom and singing our favourite Sukkot and Simchat Torah songs.
1. Shake the lulav
Shake, shake, shake,Shake, shake, shake,
Shake the lulav,
Shake, shake, shake
Shake, shake, shake,
On Sukkot.
2. Did you ever shake a lulav,
A lulav, a lulav,
Did you ever shake a lulav,
On Sukkot day.
Shake upwards and downwards
And forwards and backwards,
Did you ever shake a lulav,
On Sukkot day.
3. Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe
4. Little Torah, little Torah,
Let me hold you tight,
Teach me, teach me
All the mitzvot
So I may do things right,
Torah teaches every Jew,
Torah, Torah we love you.
The children were busy painting, gluing and creating beautiful flags that they can take to shul with them on Simchat Torah.
The children were so excited to hold a Torah in our classroom and walk around with the Torah. They especially loved going downstairs to the Shul and dancing and marching with the Torah with all of their Torah Tot friends.
It is always a highlight to make delicious challah on Fridays. Our classroom bakers are the best!!!
We are excited to start our new unit 'All About Me' when we return to school after Simchat Torah.
Wishing all of you a Chag Sameach and a Gut Yom Tov,
Morah Shelley and Morah Shani
