Hello Nursery Families,
In this unit, we learned about the story of Shavuot.
We have been counting the days until we received the Torah on Shavuot and we a beautiful Har Sinai which we used to hang the numbers as we counted each day.
We learned that went to all of the nations to see who would want the Torah and each nation refused when they heard about the Mitzvahs but the Jewish people said "Naaseh Venishma"!
We learned about how Hashem chose Har Sinai because she was a humble mountain.
Shavuot Song
I am a mountain so very high, I can reach way up to
the sky,
The Torah should be, given on me, for I am as high as
can be
You see . . .
I am a mountain so very wide, I can reach from side to
side,
The Torah should be, given on me, for I am as wide as
can be
You see . . .
But little Har Sinai just sat there and sighed,
I am not tall and I am not wide
The Torah will not be given on me, for I am as small
as can be
You see . . .
But out of them all, Hashem chose Sinai
Because she did not boast and she did not cry
The Torah will be given on Sinai
For she is the best she can be
