During the "Honouring our Parents" unit and "Farm Animals" unit, the children had the chance to explore so many fun filled experiences!
These past few units have been so much fun with love surrounding our class, we were thrilled to welcome all of the very strong, loving, mothers we have in our class to celebrate mothers day and truly show them how much we appreciate all of the hard work they do. We also would like to thank all the fathers who are always working hard to keep their little ones smiling and feeling secure and safe!
Here are the highlights from these units:
We Made beautiful jewelry boxes with our mommy's
We shared special messages from the mothers to their little ones
We created our dream homes
We completed a math activity that really allowed us to think about how many family members live in our house, they were encouraged to name and count them all.
We went to the moon and back to show our parents how much we really love them!
We love you mommy !
We had a bonfire and "roasted" marshmallows for Lag Baomer!
During the Farm Animal Unit we were able to milk a cow !
Farm animal sensory!
We drew pictures of farm animals and then used a mirror to observe our own faces and the draw the similarities we can find.
We filled our sensory bins with soap, water and green and blue food colouring. We decided to use it as the farm animal bath tub where the children were encouraged to keep their toys and animals clean.
We drew pictures of cow, pigs, and ducks during art, while looking at the animals in our toy bin and realistic pictures of these animals while recreating them.
We became real farmers and planted some crops and plants to be harvested. Sweet basil, pumpkins, tomatoes and thyme.
We had so much fun with this unit, but now it's time to explore the next !
