High Holidays

Hello Nursery families,

These past 3 weeks we learnt all about Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah.

We put ate apples with honey, we made pomegranates, we had a visit from the beekeeper and learnt all about how the honey is made, we made bees and a beehive and we also pretended to be bees and buzz like the bees. We made Sofars and blew the sofars, we beaded pipe cleaners and decorated our honey dishes. We make our sukkahs and we decorated our sukkahs, and we went to shul and Rabbi Zarchri taught us all about the Torah.

Dipping the apples in the honey
By doing this activity the children get the chance to try the honey and the apple and identify the difference in the taste. After that they tried it together and made their observations on what it tasted like now!!
