During this adventurous unit, we had the opportunity to explore a few different places around the world.
First we arranged to have our passport pictures taken, and printing and signing our official Torah Tots International passports
We all had some help from the flight attendants getting our documents together, we had a few cases where passports went missing last minute, but thanks to Hashem and The Torah Tots International Airport staff we got everyone boarded onto the plane safely. We sang the song Zoom zoom zoom and we said good bye to Canada and Shalom to Israel !
Our first stop was the dead sea, we explored an activity that allowed us to observe objects that sink and float and if they may have the same results in salty salt water!
We decorated our dramatic area transforming it into the 'Pre-Nursery Airport' where we had a few staff (children) participate in the construction layout of the airport and helping to make executive decisions about rules and boarding terminals instructions.
On a large brown paper we recreated the world effect using green and blue paint working together to create planet earth.
We enjoyed some outdoor play, where we pretend to visit the sandy desert and the warm fresh air in the Caribbean.
We finally have arrived to Israel, we wrote letters and added them to the kotel, we also painted chamsas and made beautiful bracelets at a little shop while visiting Tzfat. We finished off by squeezing fresh orange juice in Yaffo and making the falafel on a pita and tomatoes and Israeli salad in Tel Aviv.
Squeezing Orange juiceand making Falafel
Writing our special letters we wrote to be placed into the kotel.
We made bracelets in a little shop in Tzfat, whilst on our time in Israel..
We created Israeli flags to take on the trip and we bought some real flags to make the experience that more realistic.
We had a safe trip back to Canada, and no one lost their luggage!
We had so much fun with this unit, but now it's time to explore the next !
