Pre-Nursery 1- Passover Unit

Hello Pre Nursery One Families,

What an exciting time it has been in our classroom, Passover has really brought out all of the creative abilities in your children. We used our imaginations to remake parts of the passover story in our class plays. There has been overall joy and happiness into our room, as we rejoice the freedom of our people. In this unit we explore learning in depth about the story of pesach, and different ways we can prepare for this time.

We decorated our pyramids with brown paint into white styrofoam cups, we also used flour glue  creating a beautiful class pyramid.

We also counted frogs, played leap frog, and practiced hopping up and down successfully removing both feet off of the floor at the same time.

We read the story of passover, and the children quickly fell in love with the story of baby Moshe

We decorated and designed so many special items that we need during our seder meal, like our kiddush cup, our seder plate and seder plates mat, we even made our own matzah bakery hats

The Pre Nursery story of Pesach:

King Paroah made the Jewish people work very hard and build Pyramids. The Jewish people were very sad and cried to Hashem. Moshe told Paroah that if he doesn't let the Jews go Hashem will bring (the plague of) Frogs. There were frogs everywhere! Frogs on Paroah's head, on his nose and on his toes! Finally Paroah said that the Jewish people could go! The Jewish people were so happy and they marched out of Egypt with their Matzah!

We had so much fun with this unit, but now it's time to explore our next Unit!
