Nursery

Rainforest and 5 Senses Unit

Hello Nursery families,

In this unit we talked about our 5 senses and the Rainforest. We chose to learn all about the animals that live in the rainforest and the layers of the rainforest, our 5 senses and where we use them, we tasted sweet salty and sour foods.   It was really fun to see the children's reaction!! We made red eyed frogs and silly monkeys. We also made colorful toucan parrots. We also had lots of fun playing in snow during outdoor play!

This unit we really gained an appreciation for literacy and math! We did lots of activities using rainforest materials! We made a graph based on the color of our hair and eyes. The children learned all about them selves and noticed all the differences that everyone has and how special everyone is!!

Please enjoy the pictures and have a look at the skills that your child has gained through each of these activities!
