Shushan Town in Nursery

Purim was so exciting in the Nursery classroom! The children learned so much and really began to understand Queen Esther's brave mission to save the Jewish people. We began with decorating our classroom for Purim. First we had to decorate our classroom to make resemble Shushan Town. The children painted Shushan and decorated it with different materials.

We also had so much fun dressing up in costumes and playing Shushan!

We made our own beautiful megillahs. We used paint, crayons, jewels and other materials create our own megillah, which was later laminated. We loved pretending to read them.

We did different activities using literacy. We used letters to create Purim words as well as our names.

We also painted and beaded our own Graggers, which made such a loud noise when we heard the name "Haman"!

Making Purim Clown  Faces using stones.
Baking Hamantaschen from scratch was so exciting as we helped add the ingredients and then added the Jelly!

And of course, dressing up on Purim and walking through Shushan town!

And every day, we watched a Purim puppet show by Morah Batya!

We had an exciting Purim In Torah Tots!
