Our last unit was all about Purim! A cornerstone of Torah Tots is our emphasis on Jewish learning and values. We took great joy in bringing this festive time to all aspects of our learning!
Gross motor enrichment with parachute time! Not only do activities like this help our gross motor, it helps develop social skills like turn taking.
Our little bakers making Hamentashen!
Jewel letter matching helps children become familiar with the different letters. Literacy development in nursery and pre-nursery, are so important for the foundations of reading and writing in later years.
Purim mask collages!
Sound sensory play is rarely thought about as a specific sensory play activity, although hearing is a frequently stimulated sense. Listening skills are also very important to learn, as they have an impact on all areas of learning and communication. With this activity we were learning about graggors. The children had various noisemaking items mixed with non-noisemaking ones and had to sort them by category.
Throughout this unit, one of our main projects was our purim puppets. Every day by circle we would tell the story of purim using the same puppets! we hope your little one enjoys sharing both their puppets and the story with you at home!
Making our very own Graggors!
Part of math fun this unit was focusing on triangles, sorting them, identifying them and creating them!
Jewel number counting!
Graggors part 2!
Shushan Palace Provocation!
Purim story circle time!
