We have been so busy the past few weeks finishing up our Fall unit! we had so much fun learning about the changes this season and unit brings to the weather, animals and colours all around us!
Making Fall play dough added a sweet (cinnamon) touch to one of most off our favourite sensory activities! such wonderful bakers!
Leaf painting!
When we have an activity that we are able to display in the classroom it takes the childrens leaning to a deeper level. They are able to look back on the fun they had making it, and remember what they had learned about. Here is our wonderful fall mural that is now our beautiful window hanging in the pre-nursery class!
Sensory painting with cobs of corn!
Our nursery friends did a wonderful job graphing and sorting all of the different coloured leaves we collected!
Our "Silly fall tree" activity was u huge hit! Reggio inspired activities like this one allow the children to self direct their learning. This activity encourages, fine motor, hand eye coordination and colour matching and recognition!
Fall tree portraits!
During our morning circles we have spent time in the nursery class talking about hibernation and how the animals get all ready for the cold winter by collecting food such as acorns in the fall. Here we used this opportunity to bring our circle time to life by making our own acorns!
Yoga with Morah Catalina! We always have so much fun!
Our Nursery friends have been very busy with math and literacy activities, Making patterns, practicing counting and stamping our names!
