Sukkot!

This week we were so busy learning and exploring all the things about Sukkot!

We decorated our own sukkah for our classroom interest centre! our interest centre is a visual and literacy based area related to the theme of that week. This week we made it interactive!

Music with Morah Shirley!

Here are some of the songs we have been practicing to share with all of your for Sukkot:

Here we go
out to play
the the sukkah were on our way
with a hammer boards and nails too
we'll build a sukkah for me and you!

did you ever shake a lulav. a lulav, a lulav
did you ever shake a lulav on a sukkos day!

shake upwards and downwards
shake frontwards and backwards
did you ever shake a lulav on a sukkos day!

did you ever shake an Etrog, a etrog, a etrog
did you ever shake a etrog on a sukkos day!

shake upwards and downwards
shake frontwards and backwards
did you ever shake a etrog on a sukkos day!

Making decorations for our sukkah!

We worked so hard this week making our take home sukkah decorations, so we can hang them in our own sukkah's!

We hope you like them!

Our nursery friends helped us make Etrog-ade! its was citrisously good!

Sukkah play dough provocation! Reggio inspired activities like this are all about exploration and discovery; exploring with their senses, asking questions, testing theories, making plans and thinking deeply.

For erev Sukkot we made delicious edible sukkahs! YUMMY!
