This week the Pre- Nursery Class studied all the wonderful books by Eric Carle! We had so much fun incorporating his work into our Art, Math, Science and many other activities in our class this week.

One science centre was a big hit this week! We learned where different animals live. We had land  water environments and we placed them in the right one. Learning hrough play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see?

Purim!

The past two weeks have been so much fun learning about Purim in so many different ways and mediums!

We started the unit making our shushan palace! Dramatic storytelling also gives your child opportunities to build and practise vocabulary, use imagination and learn about the structure of stories.

Exploring purim noises

Triangle provocation!

Our most favourite activity for purim in pre nursery was dressing up!

Counting with the clowns balls!

Making graggors

We learned the story of purim through a wonderful puppet show (with all the same characters the children took home)

Water play is important for young children, giving them endless ways to develop and learn. It helps children learn how to work cooperatively and collaboratively, use all their senses to discover and explore their environment, and develop their imagination, creative thinking and ability to problem solve and experiment with solutions.
