Chanukah Part 2

Chanukah is in the air! Latkes are frying, Dreidels are spinning and here at Torah Tots we have been doing lots of Chanukah learning!

For our Chanukah Concert and to decorate our classroom we made giant 3D Dreidels!

Math is so much fun when you get to practice counting with gelt!

With our unit being all about light and Chanukah, we made Chanukah window hangers. It was so fun putting them up and looking at the different colours through it!

We love Yoga with Morah Catalina!

Literacy fun matching the magnet letters to the dreidels!

Sorting Chanukia candles by colour on the light table! Light tables assist children in sensory development, encourage growth, and nurture their curiosity.

It has been so much fun to learn about Chanukah through art these past few weeks. Art helps make connections between the visual arts and the concepts we are learning. While making our Chanukia's all the children were able to make connections (saying what we were making or pointing to our classroom chanukia).

 Challah Chet!

 Gluing on our bolts!

Sports with Coach Zev!

One of our sensory activities was squishing olives to make the oil for the menorah!

Sorting Dreidels

 Counting Laktes

Painting with spinning dreidels!

With the cold weather here, we have had so much fun with our indoor gross motor activities like parachute!
